We get excited about the ways that clever, well-designed spaces can be the catalyst to transform our environments, especially with regard to intangible things like good communities and individual well-being.
The CplusC team were recently walking to a local cafe in Chippendale for lunch and started discussing how easily the amenity of a lane-way off Cleveland Street could be improved to better benefit businesses, locals, pedestrians and cyclists.
When we returned to the office, we looked up what Council has planned for the future of Cleveland Street and the answer is hedges, lots and lots of hedges.
With minor modifications to traffic flow around this area, some unique spaces could emerge. So we used a little imagination and our architecture skills, to show just how special the area could be.
